Exam Mass Results

A student that is marked as a No Show has his last exam date updated and last exam grade set to a "NS". Added an option to MasterVision not to do this. The option is under File > Open > System Setup > System > System Options and is called "Record Exam No Show as Last Exam". It is checked by default. If unchecked, only the student's next exam date is updated.

Infocalls

When starting on a new school, a bug existed where an enrolled infocall would not get turned into a student. Fixed it.

Point of Sale

A date could be entered on the POS screen, but the items and payments would still be recorded with today's date. Fixed the screen to use the date entered.

Y2K

MasterVision displays all dates as 4 digit years so that you know exactly what the dates are. A couple reports in the system were turning the 4 digit year off and not turning it back on. Fixed it.

Contracts
The buyer's name was not being recorded on the down payment. Fixed it.

End of Day

Under special circumstances, you could get a "st_Status not found" or "st_Pin not found" error. Corrected the problem.

Exams

On the mass results screen, a student that did not show for an exam had their next exam date set to the current exam date + 1 week automatically. Added a new date on this screen so that you can control the next exam date for no show students. You can set the default number of weeks on the File > Open > System Setup > System > System Variables screen.

Infocalls

Deleting an infocall turned the person into an expired student. Fixed to actually delete him/her.

Inventory Reports

Added a new inventory on order report

Mail Merges

Added mail merge fields SwatDT and SwatRK which are classes swatted to date and classes swatted for current rank. To get these fields in a merge, create any merge letter with this new version. The DDRTemp file will then have these fields.

Point of Sale

You can now enter a name for cash payments.

Deposit reports were showing voided POSs. Fixed.

Selector - 5162 Student Info Labels

If there is no responsible party, a phone number could still show up. Fixed.

4.00.04, 4/12/99

Appointment Book

If the end of day routine changes a student status to X or it is changed manually on the student screen, any retention or renewal items in the appointment book are removed automatically.

When a student is enrolls and they are scheduled for a class that day, the appointment book shows them as missing a class. Changed it so that it doesn't do that.

If you change the student note and forget to press "Save", the note changes would be lost. Fixed form to save the note automatically. Removed the save button.

Billing Company Payments

This form assumes the date for the billing company payment is the date the payment is entered. Changed the form so you can enter a date.

Contracts

When enrolling a student, the next exam day was set to 90 days out automatically. Fixed MasterVision to use the system default in File > Open > System Setup > System > Variables. (Number of weeks for passing test * 7 days)

EFC Enrollment Form

Added Extension/Renewal choice to the enrollment form.

Exam Results - Single

Added a warning message when closing the screen if the current information had not been saved yet.

Selector Report

Added stripes and classes swatted for current rank to the report.

Todd Gets Hit By A Bus

Many people have asked what happens when the partnership expiration rolls around and Todd is no longer available for some reason. Just in case this were to happen, I've added a special unlock code to MasterVision.

On the File > Open > System Setup > System > Modules screen you can enter the code of "12345" to OPT OUT of the Partnership Plan. If you do this, you can keep using MasterVision beyond the expiration date. YOU CANNOT INSTALL ANY PROGRAM UPDATES once this code has been entered or MasterVision will expire. Of course, if I've been hit by a bus program updates will be few and far between.

Appointment Book

If a student's renewal date is changed on the student screen to be later, the Due To Renew item remained in the appointment book. Fixed the student screen to remove the item if the new due date is greater than today.

Contracts

When adding students to the contract, the Add-On, Edit, and New buttons were not working smoothly. Straightened them out.

Custom Changes - Fischer

Missed Class people will now show up in the appointment book.

They will not show up on the instructor report. They do count as attendance when running the various attendance reports.

Registration

Fixed a registration problem with demos

Student Screen

When adding a new student and you go to page 2, you could see information for another student in special situations. Fixed the problem.

Next Page and Previous Page are no longer allowed on the student screen when adding or editing information. You have to save the screen first.

Instructor Report

Added the date of the class to the report

Inventory

Added option to allow changes directly to the on hand amounts instead of having to create and receive an order. Changes to on hand are not allowed by default. To allow changes select File > Open > System Setup > POS > Defaults. Check the "Allow Inventory On Hand Changes".

Point of Sale

Added a copy button to the items on the order. This allows the user to enter one item quickly and then just click the copy button when selling multiple items.

Quick Letter

A button was previously added to the student and infocall screens to create a merge letter directly from that screen. The default behavior is to create the letter and then switch over to Word so that you can view it, change it, or print it.

Added a new option that automatically prints the letter. The option is found under File > Open > System Setup > System > Options and is called "Print 1 Student Letter Immediately". When checked, the letter is created, immediately printed, and then closed without saving it.

Responsible Parties

Long names in responsible parties were getting chopped off. Increased the first name to be 50 characters, the salutation to be 50 characters, the address name to be 50 characters, and the last name to be 50 characters.

Temporary Inactive

Created new report in the Student section called Temporary Inactive. This report shows you all the temporarily inactive (status T) students due to resume in a date range.

Verify Data

Added a new check that verifies the internal MasterVision ID numbers for each table.

Year 2000

Fixed a couple screens that did not display or allow 4 digit years.

The reports section of the program could turn the 4 digit display of years to 2 digit. Fixed it.
