Moving MasterVision to a New Computer

If you want to move MasterVision from one computer to another, here are the steps you have to follow.

First you need to install MasterVision to the new computer:

• Install the free demo
• Install the latest update

The old computer should be on the same version as the new computer. Install the latest update to the old computer if necessary.

Now you have to move your data from the old computer to the new computer. All of your MasterVision2 data is in the c:\program files\mv2\data folder. Copy this folder from the old computer to the new computer. How are you going to copy it? I don't know. You'll need a backup tape, a CD, a network connection, or some other means of copying files from one computer to another. If you use a CD to copy the data, be sure to undone the Read Only property after you copy to the new computer.

When you install to the new computer, MasterVision will be reading from the c:\program files\mv2 folder. Use the File > Change Data Directory command from the menu to change to your c:\program files\mv2\data folder.
