Version 5.06.07, 8/28/06
Appointment Book Report
Added some more student information to the appointment book report. You also have the option now to create the appointment book report for just 1 employee or for all employees.
Menu: Windows
New menu option under Window for “Move Top and Left”. Will move the current window to the top left corner of the main MasterVision window. This is handy for when you move a window off the screen and can’t find it.
Point of Sale: Packages
New feature that allows you to create a package of inventory items that you can sell in Point of Sale with a special price. Example: You could have a “Beginner’s Package” which includes a uniform and mouth guard, each at 10% off the normal price. In Point of Sale you could then sell the “Beginner Package” to get those two items at the special price.
To create a package, select File > Open > Point of Sale > Packages. Click the New button to create the name of your package. Close the name form and then pick the package name you want in the list. You can then add inventory items to that package.
To sell a package, click the “S” button in the item section and then double-click the name of the package you want to sell. The items and prices for that package are added to the order.
Student: Print Button
Added the 5162 picture label and 5361 picture label as options to the print button. These will ask you the label number on the page where you want it to print so that you can reuse partial label sheets.
Version 5.06.05, 7/20/06
Backup
Added a new Backup option to the File menu. MasterVision will ask if you want to backup your data every time you exit.
By default, all of your data is backed up to a new BACKUP directory. You can change the default backup location in Tools > Options, General tab.
Report : Student Status
Added the picture to the report
Word Mail Merge
You can now merge student pictures into a Word mail merge letter. To merge a picture simply have the text STUDENTPICTURE in your document. That text will be replaced by the picture exactly as it exists on your system.
Version 5.06.04, 4/14/06
Attendance
You can now add assistant instructors to a class. An assistant has to first be entered as a student. To enter an assistant, double-click the “Instructor” label on the attendance form and then add the students to the form that appears.
In the Attendance section of reports, there are two new reports. The “Assistant Totals” shows, for a date range, every student that assisted and the total number of classes assisted. The “Assistant Detail” shows, for a date range, every student that has assisted and the actual classes they assisted in.

Some of the forms that were updated: Attendance, Appointment Book, Find form, POS, Student, Login
Hot keys were also added to the toolbar buttons to quickly open those items. The hot keys are:
Appointment Book: Ctrl+B
Attendance: Ctrl+A
POS: Ctrl+4
Find Screen: Ctrl+F
Reports: Ctrl+R
Selector: Ctrl+S
Security
Enabled security settings in MasterVision. All security is off by default in MasterVision.
Security works based on the Security Level set for each Employee (File > Open > Employee). So if my security level on the employee file is 30 but the security needed to delete a student is 50, then I won’t be allowed to delete a student. It is up to you to decide what security levels will be able to do what.
A sample security setup might be something like this:
30: The default level for all employees. This level is only allowed to do basic things.
50: This employee can delete a student and void a POS. They do not have access to the employee screen to set security levels.
90: Employee that is allowed to do everything.
Security is based on who you logged in as when MasterVision was started.
Select Tools > Security to set security levels for various MasterVision functions. A Security Level of 90 or higher is required to access this function. If you do add security functions, be sure to add security for opening the employee form.
I’ve only included a few basic security functions at this point. If you see other MasterVision functions you’d like Security on, please let me know.
Selector: Export to Excel
New output option in the Selector that lets you export students to an Excel file format. You can choose which fields to export.
Verify Data
The Verify Data deletes any students that don’t have a link to a valid address record
