Attendance
Warns When Payments Overdue
You can turn this behavior off in File > Open > System Setup
> System > System Options. If you have billing company payments,
you'll want to turn this off.
Billing
Company Payments
The first two students on the contract are shown in addition to
the buyer and monthly payment amount
Contract
Screen
MasterVision was allowing changes to down paymnet, number of payments,
cash price, and interest rate after the contract had been made official.
This had no effect on the actual payments that were due, it only
effected the display of the contract screen. Fixed the contract
screen to not allow these changes.
End
Of Day
The end of day routine changes a student to status X when their
expiration date is reached. Added an option under File > Open
> System Setup > System > System Variables to give a certain
number of days leeway to the expiration. It defaults to 7. With
the default, a student will be changed to Status X 7 days after
their expiration date is reached.
Find
Student - F8 or Right-Mouse Click
Finding a student by last name using either of these methods would
not find a student who had a space at the beginning of the last
name. The find student screen would find them. Fixed this routine
so it would find them as well.
Point
of Sale
When recording a PAYMENT, the student pin was not saved with the
payment item. When running a sales by student report, none of the
monthly payments would show. Fixed this.
Tip:
In the inventory, find the FINANCE PAYMENT item. Check the "Ask
For Student ID". MasterVision will now ask for a student ID
when recording a finance payment. Do the same thing with DOWN PAYMENT.
Limitation:
A contract can have more than 1 student on it but MasterVision can
only record a payment to 1 student. The finance payment is only
going to show on one of the students (the one whose pin number was
entered on the point of sale screen).
Point
of Sale - Find
When trying to find a point of sale by number you had to enter the
full P00000XXXX to find it. Changed the find so you can just enter
the last non-zero numbers.
Renewal
Form
The two monthly calculations (24 and 36 by default) were incorrect.
Corrected them.
Selector
Added ABC status as a criteria
Selector
Report
Did some rearranging so that the Level field could be bigger.
Voided
Sales
New report in the POS category that shows point of sale orders that
were voided
Version 4.01.02,
9/8/99
Attendance
When
taking scheduled attendance, a warning message is displayed for
students that have a payment due that day. You can turn this behavior
off in File > Open > System Setup > System > System
Options.
Billing
Company Payment Recording
A
previous version allowed you to enter a different date than today's
for recording the payment but the button "Show Payments Entered
Today" only shows payments entered with today's date. Changed
the button to show any payments for the currently entered date.
Contract
Down Payments
If
a contract was paid in full with a single down payment, it is possible
that MasterVision would collect the down payment but still think
that it is due. Fixed.
Email
Address
A
field has been added for email for a student. It is on page 2 of
the student screens and on the quick update screen.
End
of Day
When
a student reaches his expire date, the end of day routine now changes
them to status X.
Help
File
Completely
redid the on-line help file.
Import
Program
Last
contact is set to today when importing info calls
Late
Fees
Previously
MasterVision created a late fee charge and an entry in the appointment
book for the late fee on the same day. Added a new entry in the
File > Open > System Setup > Contracts > Defaults called
"Late Fee Appoint Book Entry". This controls the number
of days the payment has to be late before the warning is created.
This allows you to have the warning created one 1 day and the late
fee actually generated on a different (probably later) date.
Purge
Open Prospects
This
routine is now working. It will purge any open prospects (Status
"O") with an inquiry date before a date you enter.
Selector
- Groups/Clubs
The
Groups/Clubs criteria has existed for a while. If you choose more
than 1 group or club, the selector gives you all students who are
in either club.
Selector
- Classes
There
is now a classes button on the selector that will allow you to find
students enrolled in a class. If you select more than 1 class, the
selector returns all students who are in any of the classes.
Y2K
All
dates with a year less than "80" are now turned into year
2000 dates. So 1/1/00 in MasterVision will become 1/1/2000. MasterVision
still displays 4 digit years everywhere in the program.
Version 4.01.01,
7/12/99
EFC
Express Form
Shows
the account # as the Billing Co # if one is entered. Otherwise it
shows the MasterVision contract number.
Inventory
Report
Now shows the total value of each inventory item by cost and retail.
Shows total value of the inventory.
Version 4.01.00,
6/24/99
Groups/Clubs
If
you changed data sources, the groups and club information did not
update. Fixed.
Info
Appointments
Open
infocall, schedule intro, click to Next infocall, schedule intro
has the previous person's name show up. Fixed.
Pictures!!!
You
can now have pictures with infocalls and students. On the student
and infocall screens is a picture button that opens up the new picture
form.
On
the quick update screen, any student picture is displayed and you
can also get to the picture form.
On
the selector, there is a new label option called "Bar-Code
Picture Labels (5363)". This works with the Avery 5363 laminated
ID cards.
The
picture form works as follows: The pictures have to be bitmap (BMP)
files for now. Any graphics program can create bitmap files. The
picture form has two buttons: The "Import" button will
automatically insert the bitmap file called STUDPICT.BMP from the
main MasterVision directory. The "File" button will ask
you for a file name. You can select any bitmap file you like.
Since
we are importing pictures, you can use anything you like to create
the picture: A portable digital camera, a scanner, or a digital
camera that attaches to the computer (simple to use, about $80-$160.)
You take the picture with the software that comes with the device.
Save that picture as a bitmap and then import it into MasterVision.
MasterVision
is looking for a small file (less than 160 x 120 pixels which is
a standard). You'll want to have the person's face in the upper,
left side of the photo you take.
